Friday in the evening at 8pm I booked a ticket for the Icebar.

I was really curious about this place even if I know it will be really cold inside at -5°C.
There was one in Tokyo too but it was closed after the earthquake of 2011 to save electric energy.
The walls and the bar is made from clear ice. Only the floor is metal.
I booked a champagne session so I got two champagne drinks served in a glass made from ice.
One session is 40 min long. Longer would be to cold.
There is also a corner to take some pictures. Everyone around took a lot of pictures but none of them had such a cute travel partner.
Even the bar was made of ice.
The current theme is frozen architecture. This is a brick in the wall but if you look from one side into it you can see the ground plot of the icebar.
The light color changed every few seconds and created really great effects with the cracks in the blocks of ice.
There was of course a photographer. The picture was not for free but I decided to buy it as a present for my mother.
It was 10 Pounds (at the Shard the asked 25 Pounds for a picture with glass frame or 35 for two prints and the data- really mad)
Taddaa. Me in the coat you get there to stay warm during the session.
The gloves are also handed out there.
It was a nice experince for 20 Pounds but you should book in advance to be sure to take part at the time you want to. At some days it could be really crowded.
