Japan 2010: Shopping haul

 We got water in a plastic mug like fruit salad and it has an expiration date.

 Towels, plushies and a stationary

 Sweets, make up and accessories.

 Kuromi stuff: Pillow, mini towel and a small bag
A fan which can be folded
Chopsticks( I use some as hair sticks)
Nori printed with Hello Kitty ( I sadly never used it because I was afraid of it)

 Handy Charms.
Every aera in Japan has it owns Hello Kitty.
Mine are from Tokyo Gift Gate and Nara.

 Boxes.

 You filled these sweets in the boxes. As much as fit into it were included in the price of the box.

 Towels packed as Wonka chocolate, a strap I am using on my car key, a bath ball with a figure inside

 Mobile charms.
I am an addict since this holiday.

 A cheap fan because it was so hot.

Little cakes from Kamakura shaped like the statue.
Asian snack for my grandmother.

 Fans as presents for my mother and my grandmother.

My favourite apron.
I am still using it nd I really love it.

Japan 2010:Kyoto

 The train station of Kyoto.

 Rice fields.

 water lilies in a public garden.

 The Fanta from a vending machine has the same color.

We also went to the old palace.
It has a really funny floor.
It has a special underconstruction so every step creates a squeaky sound.
This is to prevent attacks on the emperor.

 I was to shy to ask for a picture together because I only wore a shirt and jeans.
She ws so beautiful.

 Later we also visited the golden pavillon.
It was a beautiful clear day and so I had the chance to take a picture with a reflection.

 No I am not tired after all these great places.

During freetime we visited a shopping mall near our hotel.
I was happy because in hotel they printed out a map showing me that a Baby the stars shine bright store is nearby.
I only had to cross the shopping mall.

My first Lolita item bought brand new was an umbrella.
Look how they wrapped it.

Japan 2010: Way to Kyoto

 We stayed in a hotel which is also very popular for weedings.

Sadly the bride wear shop was closed when we arrived.

Here is a view at the wedding chapel in front of the hotel.

We were told that in japan it is normal to invite a lot of people to your wedding and you havr to take care of them so japanese weddings are really expensive.

After this stop we will spend the the last days in Kyoto.

We went there by train.

 By Shinkansen train.

 Cute flower arrangement at the train station.

He had a burger even if we tried to eat only japanese food.

Japan 2010: Pearls and deers

 A very important place because it made it possible to afford pearls for normal woman.
Sadly this destroyed the jobs of the pearl diving woman in japan.

 Really beautiful jewellery for sale.
Mabye I should have bought something.

There was also a museum with a lot of products made from or with pearls.
The glass boxes reflected the light so the pictures were all bad.

 We traveled on to the old capital: Nara.
On our way we saw this castle.

 In Nara temple deers are honored.

The are walking around and can be touched and also feed.

Japan 2010: Waterfall

 The next day we traveled to a waterfall.
I expected one big waterfall.

 It was mnagical.
A lot of smaller and bigger ones ran down the walls.
The water was so clear you can see the ground.

 There was also a building which might be a restaurant but it was empty now and the metal was damaged by the water spray from the waterfalls.

 Crabs living in the clear water from the falls.

My first matcha ice cream.
I didn´t finish it because it was so bitter.

Japan 2010: Where is the Fuji?

 Another day leaving the hotel to travel further on.

 One of the lakes in Fuji Hakone National park.

 Today we are going to try to see Fuji-san.

 At the top of the mountain there are of course vending machines for snacks.
Look they have warm snacks I would never have expected there.

Of course this place also has mascots.


Sadly it was too cloudly to see the Fuji.

Japan 2010: open air museum

 Now we were going to visit an open air museum of a village like it was 200 years ago.

 This mountain was covered with concrete to prevent a movement of the ground.
Not beautiful and rain can not seep away.

Sadly I had activated the date stamp in my camera and so I have this ugly red writing in my pictures.

I hope you can feel the atmosphere there.

 Green eggs were offered in a store.

 The roofs were covered like it was in earlier times and everything is made from wood.

 It was a bit cold there so a last tree was blooming.

 Poor turtle. I think that it need a lot more space and deeper water.

 Inside a restaurant. We were late and so we only got a place on a tatami so we sat on the ground.

I had homemade soba with vegetable tempura.
It was really tasty.
