Fake Food Crafting

 We booked a course to learn a bit about fake food.
I really appreciate all the displayed food.
If the waiter didn´t understand me I always had the possibility to go out with him and point at the food I want to order.

In earlier times this fake food was made of wax.
Wax is soft and can be colored but it can also melt away in sunlight or break when it drops.

 My mother decided to create fake curry with rice.

 First mix the plastic rice with glue.

 Put it in the plate.

 These are made from wax and so they can be softened by putting into hot water.

 After a while you can cut them with a pair of scissors

 Put it on the rice

Dip for the curry look.

 After drying it became matt so it needed some shiny painting.

 

 Tasty looking curry-nearly ready to eat.

I decided to make an ice cream sundae.
I could choose the color of the glass.

A friend of mine wanted to join us.
Sadly she felt sick and so I made the one I booked for her.

My mother felt in love with the keychainrings.
We had some time left and so I also made this.

Alice Cafe Shinjuku

 In the evening we met a friend at the Alice Cafe in Shinjuku.

 Delicious looking food.

 On the opposite was a special restaurant calles Munich.
I think they offered german food.

 After entering you can choose between rabbit ears or an alice bow.

 We took the ears.

 We ordered these Cocktails to our menu we ordered in advance.

 The menu was like a book.

 The cocktail looked like it was at the picture.

 The starter.
Always small so I haven´t been shocked.

 Now I was a bit shocked.
Yes they changed the topping from apple to potatoes because of an allergy but the salad was for four and I had to share it. We didn´t get service.

 The noodles were also for four.

 The worst joke of the evening-the meat dish.
Yes, everyone got two! pieces of meat.

 The dessert was also tasty but filled with cornflakes to have more volume.

I knew that in the evening it would be more expensive but I chose the menu with the help of pictures and these were nearly half the size we got for four.
I don´t know why they made the dishes so small.
Also I wasn´t satisfied with the service at that evening.
Everything was tasty but the amount was even for japan too small.

 My friend gave me some presents from her hometown.
She lives near Fuji-san in an aera where grapes are grown.
I love the towel with Hello Kitty and Fuji-san

It was a sunday and so they closed the main shopping street and turned it into a  pedestrian zone.

This house has an unique design.
A lot of buildings in this area are unique and decorated.

Yes, I bought a raffle ticket again.
Now I have a pair, but sadly not the big one.
